Almost at drywall stage!

Jan 26 - lots has been going on...plumbing inspections, mechanical inspections, electrical inspections, insulation, security wiring, in-ceiling speaker wiring and various other odds and ends....see for yourself!

New front deck/porch/verandah (whatever your word for it is) is in place thanks to my dad!

So the drywall is being loaded up this week which is really exciting because then we will really get a feel how the space will be!  In the meantime, I've been working on selecting trims, doors, tile, granite....so much work and never enough time!  Kitchen cabinets will be ordered this week, we discovered the fridge I had originally selected wasn't going to work so I had to go shopping again for a fridge...but I am hoping to make my final choice tomorrow and then order the cabinets shortly thereafter! 

Work through the holidays

Jan 4 - Yes, I am terrible at updating this when I have too many things on the go but yes, the house is still progressing quite nicely.  Yesterday, the 1st plumbing rough in inspections occurred and I think we are just waiting on the electrical inspection.  The heating "stack" inspection passed shortly before the holidays.  Security system is ordered, interior sound system also ordered and Christiaan is doing the wiring this weekend.  I am now starting to gather together samples for interior colours but with Ainsley in tow, this is a very slow process!  I did managed to get some sweet boxing day deals on all of our appliances from Sears and they can hold them until we need them, which is awesome as many other places with the "deals" meant immediate delivery and our storage is FULL!  Okay, here's some pictures!
